When over the bridge take a left turn and go along the road with countless holes to the fairytale. We call it Ribno. And in this magical place everyone can learn what it means to be a scout.
We present to you our camp space, which stands on the most beautiful piece of land next to a small village called Ribno. This village is only 5 km away from our famous tourist destination called Bled.
Children’s playfulness, unspoiled humor, sparkling sincerity, sparkle in the eyes are all wrapped up with a lot of positive energy and found in Ribno. For us that is scouting.
History of Šalek Scout Association's campings
Since 1959 and up to the year 1966, ŠSA scouts used various campsites. Camps were organised at the following locations:

- 1960 Šobec pri Bledu
- 1961 Šobec pri Bledu
- 1962 Vinica
- 1963 on the island of Hvar – Stari trg (Croatia)
- 1964 on the island of Hvar – Stari trg (Croatia)
- 1965 in Bohinj, Naklova glava-Forest school
- 1966 in Bohinj, Naklova glava-Forest school
- 1967 onwards in Ribno near Bled
What does our camp offer?
Thematic program
Every year, volunteers prepare a varied program that combines skills in living in nature, pioneering, first aid, and other general knowledge.
The Scout Way of Life
We sleep under the stars and wake up to birdsong, and the quality infrastructure allows us to camp in any weather.
Evening programs
In the evening, we gather around a common fireplace, where children's eyes light up as they tell stories and sing camp songs to the sounds of the guitar.
Sports activities
Every day at the camp is spent actively, and participants have the opportunity to try out various sports disciplines.
Day trips
The excellent location of the campsite allows for various excursions to surrounding areas and exploration of unspoiled nature.
